Techniques Trophy for 4 Cylinder Morgans 8-9th August 2009

The Techniques Trophy for 4 cylinder Morgans will again be up for grabs at the hugely popular Bentley Drivers Club race meeting at Silverstone. Currently, the race is earmarked for the weekend of 8-9 August. This will be the 4th running of the TT and heralds the largest gathering of racing Morgan 4 cylinder cars anywhere in the UK. We keep the regulations as open as possible but would prefer all cars to be normally aspirated and slick tyres are not allowed. To date, the race has been won by a historic Morgan +4 (TR engine), a later Morgan +4 (Rover engine) and a Morgan 4/4 (Ford engine).
Please contact Brian or Tracy for further information and to register your interest.

MSCC Track Day Mallory Park 18th April 2009

The MSCC Track Day is scheduled for Saturday 18th April at Mallory Park. As in previous years, Techniques will be in attendance with our race support vehicle to give participants a helping hand. This is an excellent day for Morgan owners to try out their Morgans on the track. Many are surprised of the Morgan's tenacious road holding and it's the only real place where a Morgan can be driven to its limit in relative safety. We look forward to seeing you there.
Techniques Historic Motor Racing Support

For the last few years, we have been supporting our historic race customers competing all over Europe. Whereas we maybe better known for our successes at Le Mans Classic, you maybe surprised to learn that we have more recently been on hand at Spa, Zandvoort and Porto.
Racing overseas is great fun and offers the chance to race on world famous circuits, often against world famous cars. However, it can be more expensive and requires much planning and forethought. The worst scenario is for the car to fail in qualifying or even scrutineering and all that time and money has gone to waste. We are proud of the fact that we have managed to get all our customers' Morgans to the finishing line in every overseas event we have attended. Long may this record continue!!
This year, we will again be travelling to some of the major overseas historic race meetings. We are currently planning our schedule and are open to suggestions to accommodate any significant interest in any given race meeting. We ask that you contact us with your race plans and to discuss whether you would like to take advantage of our expertise.
