Powertorque Morgan Motor Company Challenge
The 2006 season is now finished and we congratulate Russell Patterson in taking the overall championship in his Morgan Roadster Lightweight. Russell succeeds Simon Orebi-Gann who also won the championship in his Roadster Lightweight last year.
We also salute our customers Phillip Goddard for winning Class C8 (for standard Morgan +8s 3.9 litres) with Leigh Sebba coming 2nd overall in the same class. Sharlie Goddard finished a fine 3rd in Class D (for standard Morgan +8s of 3.5 litres).

Peter Horsman took a back seat this year as other commitments vied for his attention. Nevertheless, Peter took 3 class wins reminding the other runners how quick he can be in his very rapid Class B Morgan. We also welcomed back Mathew Wurr in his Class A Morgan ‘99OK’.
We also mention Ray Higgs who has persevered with his Roadster Lightweight, which for this season, has been competing in the highly competitive Class B for modified Morgans.

We were also delighted to support Steve McDonald, Peter Henry and Chris Springall with their Morgan +8s in the MMCC this year.

Historic Racing
We have had a very busy year attending every round of the MMCC race series and a number of classic and historic events.
A highlight of our year has been the tremendous response to our launch of the Techniques Trophy ably won by Jack Bellinger in the historic Morgan +4 ‘XOV’.

It turned out to be a fantastic day with an epic race that went right down to the wire. The Techniques Trophy is anticipated to be a permanent fixture in Morgan historic racing.

Close on its heals for thrills was taking Adrian Van Der Kroft’s beautiful Morgan +4 SLR to Goodwood to compete in the world famous Revival meeting. Adrian lined up on the front row alongside the similar SLR of Keith Ahlers. Both SLRs were the stars of the field with Adrian following Keith home to a Morgan 1-2 finish in the prestigious Fordwater Trophy.

Finally, we were back at Le Mans Classic with John Clarke and his super little Morgan 4-4 LM. Restored and maintained by Techniques, this pre war Morgan amazed us all by finishing its third Le Mans Classic in front of a huge contingent of Morgan owners.

We were also there to see Adrian Van Der Kroft’s Techniques prepared Morgans finish well up the field. His pre war Morgan 4-4 TT acquitted itself well and his Morgan +4 ‘XOV’ narrowly missed out on regaining the Index of Performance which it won in 2004.
